Description

Delightful tacos featuring crispy wontons filled with spiced ground chicken, infused with ginger and garlic, and topped with fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground chicken
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Shredded cabbage or lettuce
  • Julienned carrots
  • Sliced cucumbers
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Sriracha or spicy mayo

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and green onion until well combined.
  2. Place a wonton wrapper in each cup of a mini muffin tin, gently pressing to form a cup shape.
  3. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the chicken mixture into each wonton cup. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. Remove wonton cups, fill them with shredded cabbage, julienned carrots, sliced cucumbers, and fresh cilantro. Drizzle with sriracha or spicy mayo.
  5. Serve immediately as handheld tacos.

Notes

If you want a healthier option, consider baking the wontons instead of frying.
