  • 4 pieces salmon fillets can be skin-on or skinless
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning adds a spicy, aromatic kick

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for searing
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter provides rich and creamy texture
  • 2 tablespoons honey for sweetness
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced for depth of flavor
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice to brighten flavors

  • 1 pieces lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salmon fillets, skin-side down, and sear for 4-5 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the butter, minced garlic, and honey. Stir together and let bubble.
  • Add fresh lemon juice to the mixture, stir, and return the salmon to the skillet. Spoon the honey butter over the salmon and let simmer for about 2 minutes.

Serving

  • Plate the salmon fillets and drizzle with the extra honey butter sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

For crispy skin, use a cast-iron skillet. Adjust spice level with cayenne if desired. Pairs well with green beans or salad. For variation, add chopped nuts in the last cooking minutes.
