  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract sweet and fragrant

For the frosting

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for flavor in frosting
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened for a creamy texture
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for sweetness
  • 2 tablespoons milk to achieve the perfect consistency
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract for that extra flavor boost

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish generously.
  • Prepare the vanilla cake batter according to package instructions.
  • Stir in the brown sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and bake as directed.

Filling

  • While the cake bakes, combine the sweetened condensed milk, melted butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Stir until the mixture is creamy and well blended.

Assembling the Cake

  • Once baked, let the cake cool for about five minutes.
  • Poke holes all over the surface of the cake using a fork or skewer.
  • Pour the filling mixture over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
  • Let the cake sit for at least 20 minutes to soak.

Frosting

  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Drizzle the frosting over the cooled cake.
