For the Coating

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour For that crispy coating
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes Bringing that extra crunch
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Creamy and savory

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the chicken tenders to the marinade, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, crushed cornflakes, and cheddar cheese.

Coating and Baking

  • Remove chicken tenders from the buttermilk mixture and allow excess liquid to drip off.
  • Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to ensure coating adheres.
  • Place the coated tenders on the baking sheet with space between each piece. Lightly spray with cooking spray or drizzle with oil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.

Serving

  • Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces such as honey mustard, ranch, or spicy buffalo sauce.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Ensure to use a meat thermometer to verify the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
