Preparation

  • Start by placing your warm water in a bowl, then sprinkle the sugar over it. Gently add the yeast and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  • Incorporate the olive oil into the mixture, then gradually sift in the all-purpose flour and salt. Stir until the dough begins to come together.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for approximately 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough into a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rest in a warm space for one hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). After the dough has risen, punch it down and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
  • Press the dough into the pan using your fingers to create dimples all over the surface.
