  • 1.5 cups heavy cream The star ingredient for that luscious filling.
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar Sweetens the creamy filling to balance the flavors.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Adds a delightful aroma and richness.
  • a few drops pink food coloring To achieve that gorgeous pastel hue.
  • Fresh edible flowers or flower-shaped fondant decorations The perfect toppings for an exquisite finish.
  • Powdered sugar for dusting A luxurious finishing touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and powdered sugar.
  • Cut the cold cubed butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Add the egg yolk and cold water, gently mix until the dough just starts to come together.
  • Press the dough into a tart pan, covering both the base and sides evenly.
  • Prick the base with a fork to prevent bubbling and chill the crust in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown, then cool completely.

Filling

  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • Add a few drops of pink food coloring, gently folding it in for a uniform color.
  • Spoon the filling into the cooled tart crust, spreading it evenly.

Decoration

  • Decorate with fresh edible flowers or fondant shapes.
  • Dust with a delicate layer of powdered sugar.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours before serving to set.

Notes

For a perfect crust, keep the butter cold. You can also chill your flour and mixing bowl. Consider alternative fillings like fruit purees, or lemon zest. Get creative with flower decorations.
