Preparation

  • Trim the skirt steak to fit your skillet and pat it dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Cooking the Steak

  • Heat a small amount of oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the seasoned skirt steak and brown it for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  • Once cooked, transfer the steak to a plate to rest.

Making the Garlic Butter

  • In a separate skillet, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and stir continuously until it turns golden brown.

Serving

  • Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  • Drizzle the garlic butter over the sliced steak and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  • Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the steak beforehand. Add crushed red pepper flakes for heat or use different herbs for a complex taste. Serve with side dishes like rice or salad.
