Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a medium saucepan, gently melt the unsalted butter over medium heat.
  • Add the brown sugar and stir to combine. Cook until the sugar dissolves and the mixture bubbles gently.
  • Fold in the roasted pecans and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Once the nut mixture is cooled, stir it into the creamy mixture until well incorporated.

Churning

  • Pour the combined mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions for about 20-25 minutes until soft-serve consistency.
  • Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and smooth the top. Freeze for a minimum of 4 hours to firm it up.
