Ingredients
  

Ice Cream Base

  • 2 cups heavy cream velvety and rich
  • 1 cup whole milk creamy and luscious
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar sweet and inviting
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract fragrant and aromatic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt enhancing the flavors

Cherries

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and chopped vibrant and juicy
  • Optional additional cherries for serving for beauty and burst of flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Gently fold in the chopped cherries.

Churning

  • Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Once the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency, transfer it to an airtight container.

Freezing

  • Freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Serving

  • Serve in bowls or cones and top with extra cherries if desired.

Notes

For best results, chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least an hour before freezing. Experiment with different cherry varieties and be mindful not to over-churn the ice cream.
