For the Glazed Walnuts

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, heavy cream, honey, and lemon juice until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
  • Peel and devein the shrimp, ensuring they are clean and ready for cooking.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites until frothy.
  • In another bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and white pepper.
  • Dip each shrimp in the egg white mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat with the panko mixture, covering them completely.
  • Reserve the coated shrimp on a plate.

Frying

  • In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat about two inches of vegetable oil until it reaches 350°F.
  • Carefully add the shrimp in small batches to avoid overcrowding the pot.
  • Fry each batch for about 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crisp.
  • Remove the shrimp, letting the excess oil drain on paper towels.

Glazing Walnuts
