Ingredients
  

For the crust

  • 1 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs Base of the crust, providing sweetness and crunch.
  • 2 tbsp sugar For added sweetness.
  • 8 tbsp unsalted butter, melted Binds the crust together.

For the filling

  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream Whipped to create a light filling.
  • 8 oz block of cream cheese, softened Offers a creamy texture.
  • 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk Sweetens the filling.
  • 1/2 tsp fresh lemon zest Adds intense citrus aroma.
  • 1/2 tsp fresh key lime zest Enhances the lime flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract Adds depth of flavor.
  • 1/3 cup sour cream Provides creaminess and tang.
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice Brings essential tartness.
  • 1/4 cup key lime juice Adds zing to the pie.
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (for topping) Whipped to soft peaks for topping.

For decoration

  • lemon and lime slices For garnish.

Instructions
 

Make the Crust

  • Combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  • Stir until well combined, then press firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a pie dish.
  • Place in the freezer to firm up while preparing the filling.

Make the Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, whip 3/4 cup of heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form, then set aside.
  • In the same bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk; whip until smooth.
  • Add the lemon zest, lime zest, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  • Mix in the sour cream, lemon juice, and lime juice, blending thoroughly.
  • Gently fold in the whipped cream until no streaks remain, but do not overmix.

Assemble the Pie

  • Pour the filling into the chilled crust and spread evenly.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or until set.
  • Top with the remaining whipped cream and garnish with lemon and lime slices before serving.

Notes

To enhance the pie, add a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs on top or experiment with different citrus. The pie can also be made a day in advance.
