Ingredients

For the Fries

  • 4 large russet potatoes, cut into thick, hearty fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

For the Voodoo Sauce

  • 1/2 cup creamy ranch dressing
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Wash and cut the russet potatoes into thick fries, about 1/2 inch wide.
  • In a large mixing bowl, toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Allow them to sit for at least 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Cooking

  • Lay the coated fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.

Making the Sauce

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the ranch dressing, hot sauce, and honey until smooth and creamy.

Serving

  • Once the fries come out of the oven, drizzle generously with the voodoo sauce and finish with a sprinkle of chopped green onions.

Notes

Make sure to avoid overcrowding the baking sheet. For a healthier version, substitute russet potatoes with sweet potatoes or air-fry them for less oil use.
