Ingredients
  

For the breadsticks

  • 1 lb pizza dough homemade or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced beef or steak tips (cooked) provides a tender and juicy bite
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese ideal for melting
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese adds a salty nuttiness

For seasoning

  • 2 tbsp olive oil divided use
  • 2 cloves minced garlic for flavor
  • 1 tsp dried oregano for flavor
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder adds garlic flavor
  • 1 pinch chili powder for a hint of warmth
  • to taste salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant and golden.
  • Introduce the cooked beef, dried oregano, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.

Filling and Assembling

  • Spread the beef mixture evenly along the center of the dough. Top with provolone and Parmesan cheese.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal. Cut into 6-8 pieces.
  • Place breadsticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with remaining olive oil.

Baking

  • Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving with marinara or cheese sauce for dipping.

Notes

Tips include ensuring dough is well-kneaded, seasoning adequately, and allowing breadsticks to rest before serving. For a healthier option, consider using whole wheat dough or leaner cuts of beef.
