Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the granulated sugar and softened butter until creamy and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and sour cream, blending seamlessly before stirring in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  • Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared pan and spread the cream cheese mixture over it.
  • Add spoonfuls of raspberry jam or scatter fresh raspberries and swirl with a knife.
  • Pour the remaining cake batter on top to seal in the filling.
  • Prepare the streusel by mixing brown sugar, flour, softened butter, and cinnamon until crumbly, and sprinkle it atop the batter.

Baking
