Preparation

  • In a medium-size bowl, combine the softened butter, white miso paste, brown sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sliced green onions. Mix until well-blended.
  • Preheat your cooking appliance: For the oven, set it to 375°F. For an air fryer, preheat it to 400°F.
  • Take each salmon fillet and apply an equal portion of the miso butter mixture on top, spreading it evenly.

Cooking

  • For the oven method, bake the salmon fillets in a large skillet or baking dish for 12-15 minutes until opaque. Broil for an extra 1-2 minutes for caramelization.
  • For the air fryer, line the basket with parchment paper or foil and cook the salmon for 9-10 minutes.

Serving

  • Carefully transfer the salmon to a serving platter, drizzle any remaining miso butter, and garnish with additional green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

To enhance the dish, consider using wild-caught salmon, doubling the miso butter for extra glaze, or substituting green onions with chives or cilantro. Pair with rice or steamed vegetables.
