Ingredients
  

For the burger

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean) for juicy patties
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns soft and slightly toasted
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese creamy with spice
  • 1 piece fresh jalapeño, sliced seeds removed for less heat
  • 1/2 piece red onion, sliced for a sweet crunch
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for grilling
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce adjust to spice preference
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup for sweetness
  • to taste Salt and pepper essential seasoning
  • Lettuce, for garnish (optional) a refreshing crunch
  • Pickles, for garnish (optional) for a tangy twist

For the sauce

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise base for special sauce

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle over medium-high heat.
  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha, ketchup, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir well to create the spicy mayo sauce.
  • Form the ground beef into four equal-sized patties, seasoning each with salt and pepper.
  • Lightly oil your grill or griddle with olive oil.

Cooking

  • Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Once the patties are nearing completion, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and close the grill lid for 1-2 minutes to melt the cheese.
  • Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assembly

  • Spread the spicy mayo sauce on the bottom halves of each toasted bun.
  • Add the cooked burger patties topped with melted cheese.
  • Layer fresh jalapeño slices and red onions. Garnish with lettuce and pickles if desired.
  • Place the top half of the bun on each burger and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the beef beforehand. Adjust the Sriracha sauce to fit your spice preference. A cast-iron skillet can provide an excellent sear if cooking indoors.
