Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 9 pieces lasagna noodles, cooked to perfection
  • 1.5 cups ricotta cheese, creamy and fresh
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded melty goodness
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese, grated adds a delightful bite
  • 4 cups fresh spinach, chopped vibrant and nourishing
  • 2 cups marinara sauce rich and tangy
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced aromatic and flavorful
  • 2 tbsp butter for sautéing
  • Salt and pepper to taste for seasoning
  • 1 tsp dried basil a hint of herbaceous flavor

Instructions

Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Toss in the chopped spinach and cook until wilted and tender.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses. Season with salt, pepper, and dried basil; mix until thoroughly incorporated.
  • In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place three cooked lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  • Spread a layer of the spinach and cheese mixture on top, followed by another layer of marinara sauce. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and parmesan on top.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove the foil in the last 10 minutes to allow the cheese to bubble and turn golden.

Notes

Consider adding cooked ground beef or chicken for added protein. Fresh herbs can enhance flavor. Make ahead to let flavors meld.
