Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your baking dish by greasing a 9×13-inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the softened butter and cut it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  • Roll the dough out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Cheesecake Filling

  • Add the heavy whipping cream and beat until thickened and fluffy.
  • Spread the cheesecake filling evenly across the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  • Slice the rolled dough into 1-inch pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish.

Cooking

  • In a small saucepan, combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and optional cornstarch. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until the strawberries soften and the sauce thickens.
  • Pour the strawberry topping over the rolls.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let the rolls cool slightly before serving.

Notes

To elevate the flavors, consider adding a pinch of cinnamon to the dough. You can also use store-bought puff pastry for quicker prep. These can be made with different fruits like blueberries or raspberries.
