Strawberry Swirl

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically about 20-25 minutes.

Strawberry Swirl

  • In a saucepan, combine the mashed strawberries, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.

Combining

  • Once the ice cream has finished churning, transfer it to an airtight container, packing it tightly.
  • Drizzle the strawberry swirl over the ice cream and gently swirl it in.
  • Freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours, or until firm enough to scoop.
