Ingredients

For the brownie base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter Should be at room temperature for easy blending.
  • 2 cups granulated sugar Adds sweetness to each bite.
  • 4 large eggs Add one at a time after cooling the butter mixture.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Infuses the batter with aromatic flavor.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Provides structure to the brownies.
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Gives an intense chocolate flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Enhances overall flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder Provides lift to the brownies.
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Adds delicious chocolate chunks.
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips For a sweet contrast.
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips For extra chocolatey goodness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking pan by greasing and lining a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter and granulated sugar together, stirring gently until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  • Once cooled, add the eggs one at a time, and then mix in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  • Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined, leaving some lumps for a fudgy texture.

Baking

  • Fold in the semi-sweet, white, and milk chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.

Notes

To maintain a fudgy center, avoid overbaking and let the butter mixture cool before adding the eggs. All ingredients should be at room temperature for best results.
